The council collects household rubbish every week from homes in Salisbury and south Wiltshire. We have also introduced collections of recycling materials from all doorsteps, as well as providing local recycling centres that you take your recyclable things to. We collect green (garden) waste from some houses with a new scheme using wheeled bins for all types of rubbish and recycling being introduced.

A new website, www.recycleforwiltshire.com has just been launched for local information about recycling. There's a special area for pupils which might help with your homework if you're studying the environment, and some unusual suggestions of ways to recycle.
