Salisbury District Council events:

Citizenship Project – a course aimed at helping young people learn the skills and knowledge needed to lobby leaders and decision makers and put young people's views across. You will learn a range of things including:

  • Media training – how to put your point across in an interview.
  • Debating and Presenting Skills – what to say and how to say it.
  • Council Structures – who do you speak to get things done?
  • Community Mapping – What's out there already?

The project is run jointly by Salisbury District Council and Wiltshire County Council Youth Development Service. If you would like to take part or have any questions please feel free to contact the Principal Community Development Officer for Salisbury District Council on 01722 434568 or email community initiatives.

Youth centres

Or why not visit your local youth centre, run by Wiltshire County Council for 13-19 year olds, and find out what's happening there? Most centres are open at least 4 evenings per week Monday-Friday during termtime and opening times may vary during school holidays. Contact individual youth centres for exact times of opening.

Find out what's happening at your local youth centre from Sparksite's Go Local section, or download a list of youth centres and contact details from Wiltshire County Council.
